Primary and Elementary Programs
The Montessori method is guided by the natural development of children. As the needs of the child change at different stages of development the environment and experiences within that environment change. Structure and order is built into specially prepared classroom environments. The teacher presents lessons in all areas: language, mathematics, geometry, history, geography, practical life, music, art, movement, grace and courtesy based on observations of the child. Presentations in the primary classroom are generally one on one and in the elementary classroom, as the children have a strong interest in their peers, lessons are presented in small groups.
Primary
Children's House
The primary environment offers opportunities for the 3-6 year old child to actively take part and construct their intelligence through work with their hands gaining confidence as they refine movement. The child is highly interested in independence and being able to do things by herself. The prepared environment of the primary classroom gives the child their own Children's House filled with attractive purposeful activities.

Elementary
Cosmic Education
The 6-12 year old child is keenly interested in relationships, rules and responsibilities. The teacher tells a series of Great Stories, stirring interest and leading children to discover how everything in the universe is connected. They gain appreciation for human beings who came before them and discover that they are part of this wonderful universe, with a role to play.
